One step, two step

I was sleeping on the top step and my little sister was curled up three steps down when mum (I call her that now) went past us to get that funny little box that flashes. We woke up but I think she was happy anyway.

I'm so happy to have my big brother home. There's more food to eat when he's about and I love to play chase with him and kick boxing. Yesterday, when he was sleeping, I was allowed out into the garden. I climbed up the tree by the pond. It was fun. When I came down water started falling from the sky so I ran back indoors. Mum said it was my first experience of something called rain. I didn't like it 'cos it was cold and wet. But I do like jumping in the bath when it's empty and playing "chase my tail".

Playing

My little sister is driving me round the bend. All she wants to do is play and all I want to do is sleep. Yawn!

My big brother is so boring. He's out most of the day. I really look forward to him coming home and, when he does, he just sleeps. But I wake him up and we play "chase". Sometimes he tackles me and we have a "kicking fight". He likes to play with my new toys too, especially the catnip ones. Gotta get back to him now, he's dropping off again.

Fun and Games

My mum took me to the vets on Thursday and I had a needle stuck in me. She said I had to have it so I wouldn't get sick in the future. I didn't like going to the vets. It smelt strange and there were some horrible dogs in the waiting room making whining noises. I just sat quietly at the back of my basket. After I had my injection she bought me a fun new toy. Here I am playing with it. Charlie likes it too. But I found an even better toy this morning. On the top of the sideboard there's a bowl of something called pot pourri. I got a flower out of it and played with it for ages. But then the flower started to break up and there where white bits all over the carpet. Mum had to get that nasty, noisy sucking machine out. I ran away and hid behind the sofa.

Catching Up

It's been a while since I posted. I've had an exciting summer. This is a photo of me with my new little sister, Sophie. She arrived when I was off on an adventure. I went exploring and lost track of time. My humans said I'd been gone for two weeks, whatever that means. Anyway, when I got back there was this kitten jumping all over the place and annoying the hell out of me. A few days later, my humans took off on their own adventure, leaving me and Sophie with Paul. It was all too much, so I went away again and did my own thing. I only came home if I hadn't caught any mice or found some food and was real hungry.

Then my humans came back and kept me shut up in the house for a while. It wasn't too bad. I filled my tummy with good food, slept a lot and got used to Sophie. She's quite cute and fun to play with. I don't mind her now. And I'm allowed out again so I only have to put up with her when I'm in the house.

Hi! It's Sophie here. This is a photo of me sitting watching my mum work. I like to watch her move her fingers and sometimes I jump on them. I play and play and play; then I fall asleep wherever I happen to be. Best of all I like to play with my big brother Charlie. Sometimes, he gets annoyed with me, but I always come back for more. He's out now checking his territory. Apparently, it's a male thing. I'm allowed in the garden, but I only like to be there when mum or dad are there too. I don't want to go far and feel much happier when I'm with people.

She's home!

My female human came home yesterday. She'd been gone for a few days and I was starting to worry, even though Paul and the gruff-voiced one looked after me well enough. But I missed her wobbly bits to kneed with my paws and cuddle up on. Well, I got a huge shock last night when I jumped onto her belly and she yelled in agony. I didn't dare do that again, but this morning I settled on her chest and we had a lovely snuggle together. I think I made her feel good...

On Paul's bed

I had a busy day out hunting today and here I am recovering on Paul's bed. Can you see how dirty my paws are? Paul's bed is real comfy as he hardly ever makes it. Yawn. I'm going back to sleep now.

Yum Yum

Here I am eating. I have my own place in the kitchen. In the mornings I have dried food, which is left in my bowl all day for when I come in for a nibble. Then, in the evening when I'm home for the night I have Whiskas fish in jelly and a saucer of Whiskas cat milk. Yum Yum!
